Bob Rosenberg, served fourteen years as a Broward County Circuit Judge, spending his first five years in the family, juvenile and criminal divisions of the Court. After his transfer to the civil division, in 2007 Judge Rosenberg founded and presided over the Business Court for the 17trh Circuit, where the most complex commercial cases were held and where he drafted and implemented its procedures and policies.
Rosenberg is an “AV” rated attorney, has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1969, and has taught, lectured and served on discussion panels for bar associations, the Department of Justice and law schools, In addition, he has been an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University for over 25 years. In 2008, and while a sitting judge, Judge Rosenberg was selected to serve as a visiting professor of comparative constitutional law at RamKhamhaeng University, Bangkok Thailand. Judge Rosenberg has also had articles and notes published in leading bar journals.
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Rosenberg was an Assistant United States Attorney and the Chief of the Civil Division, in both the Eastern District of Michigan and the Southern District of Florida. He has extensive federal and state litigation and trial experience, won numerous Department of Justice commendations, and was designated specially skilled in areas of constitutional torts, forfeitures, foreign assets control matters and wildlife importation violations. Rosenberg is a member of seven federal courts of appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He has an impressive federal and state background in complex business and tort litigation. His trial resume as lead counsel, and presiding Judge includes, business matters extending up to seven weeks and tort cases up to five weeks.
