Ramon C. Palacio, Esq. is a Board Certified attorney in Condominium and Planned Development law, a distinction shared by less than 3% of the attorneys licensed to practice in the State of Florida, and reflecting the highest level of evaluation by the Florida Bar as to the competency and experience of attorneys in their certification practice area. Since 2008, Ramon has represented hundreds of condominium and homeowners’ associations throughout the State of Florida in the interpretation and enforcement of their governing documents, board governance matters, regulatory investigations, arbitration, contracting, foreclosure and other litigation. He has negotiated hundreds of practical solutions to disputes with contractors, vendors, property owners, and tenants, including through pre-suit mediation. Ramon is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, often described as a “calming force.” He has extensive business experience in the field of real estate, coordinating efforts of mortgage brokers, real estate agents, and title companies from contracting to closing in the purchase and sale of hundreds of condominiums in multiple conversion properties in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Lee Counties. Additionally, Ramon has extensive experience in the field of human resources, including counseling supervisors and CEOs in regulatory compliance and avoidance of employment-related litigation, such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and EEO discrimination claims. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in human resources and employment law and earned the highest industry certification available in the field of human resources. In addition to a Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Ramon holds a Master’s Degree in Management with a concentration in human resources, and an AV Preeminent® rating (the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards) from Martindale-Hubbell. Ramon has been published and quoted in various industry publications and has been recognized dozens of times for his thousands of hours of community service, including with the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary, where he continues to serve as a legal officer among other volunteer responsibilities, and holds the grade of Lt.Col. Ramon is fluent in Spanish in both oral and written form and is certified as Superior Spanish Speaking Proficiency by ACTFL. |
